The Classic runs two options: a 0.2mm and a 0.25mm blade gap. Both are relatively mild in terms of a blade gap, which means more forgiveness, more control, and a consistently close shave without the risk of irritation. It's not a beginner razor because it's inferior, it's a beginner razor because it gets out of your way and lets you focus on technique. Once you've got that dialled in, you'll understand why people never go back to cartridges.
